Applying directly vs through a partner
Direct is simple. A partner can open higher amounts and help with the application.
Applying directly to AWS is simple and free. It works well for self-funded startups going for the Founders tier.
Applying through a partner (an accelerator, VC, perks provider or AWS consulting partner) can unlock higher amounts and programs you can't apply for alone, such as migration funding.
A partner can also check your application before it goes in, which lowers the chance of rejection for simple reasons.
