How to reduce your AWS bill as a startup

Many startups can cut their bill by 20 to 40% with a few changes.

Start with what's idle: old test servers, unattached disks, forgotten snapshots and load balancers with no traffic.

Right-size servers and databases to what they actually use, and move to Graviton (Arm) instances where your code supports it.

Use Savings Plans for steady usage, Spot instances for flexible jobs, and cheaper storage classes for data you rarely read.

Make sure every credit you're eligible for is on the account. It's the easiest saving there is.

Prices and credit amounts are estimates and may change. Check AWS for current terms.
