What is AWS Activate?
Activate offers about $1,000–$5,000 (Founders) up to $200,000 (Portfolio).
AWS Activate is the program AWS runs for startups. It gives credits, technical support, training and offers from partner tools.
There are two main tiers. Founders is for self-funded startups and gives a smaller credit amount. Portfolio is for startups backed by an approved Activate Provider, such as an accelerator or VC, and gives much more.
You apply through the Activate website with your AWS account ID, company website and, for Portfolio, an organization ID from your backer.
Questions
Can I apply twice?
You can move from Founders to Portfolio, but you usually can't hold two packages at the same level.
How long does approval take?
Often 7 to 10 business days.
