AWS credits for circular economy startups

Standard Activate appliesLast checked 3 October 2026

Circular economy startups can reach up to $200,000 through an Activate Provider. There's no dedicated AWS programme open right now, so the standard tiers apply.

Circular economy startups often combine IoT data from meters and sensors, satellite or weather data and heavy modelling runs. The bill is driven by time-series storage and compute for simulations.

Does a circular economy company qualify?

  • Product startups (software or hardware you sell) qualify for Activate. Agencies, consultancies and dev shops that bill by the hour usually don't, unless they're building their own product.
  • Your company is usually under 10 years old, pre-Series B for the Provider tier, and hasn't had Activate credits before.
  • Past the startup stage? Established circular economy companies can look at business and migration funding instead.
  • Nonprofit or researcher? The AWS Imagine Grant and Cloud Credit for Research are separate from Activate.
